Chocolate Pound Cake with Walnuts

Ingredients:

1/4 c. Crisco®
1 c. butter
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
5 T. cocoa
3 c. flour
1 c. sweet milk (whole milk)
1 c. walnuts (or pecans)

Directions:

Cream together the Crisco®, butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla.  Mix together the salt, baking powder, cocoa and flour.  Add alternately with sweet milk.  Add walnuts.  Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours; check at 1 hour.  Cover after 10 minutes of cooling or put in a cake box.  Frost if desired.
