Marjorie's Nut Bread

Recipe Courtesy of www.CakeClubRecipes.comThis is my mother's quick bread recipe. She gave this recipe to my cousin in NE when they lived there. When I recently visited her she had made this bread and told me it was my mother's recipe. I had her send me the recipe, it made my day. My mother passed away in 1990 and I know she would love it if I shared it with you.
Ingredients:
1 egg
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. sour cream
1/4 c. water
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. flour
Chopped pecans or walnuts
Directions:
Heat oven to 325 degrees. Combine egg and sugar and stir. Add sour cream and water and stir. Add baking soda and salt; then add flour and nuts. Bake in a glass loaf pan (if you don't have one, a metal pan will work just fine). Bake for 45 minutes or until a tooth pick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
